Travel to Europe with MCN Telecom

Post by Shishirgano9 »

Traveling abroad has become difficult lately: coronavirus restrictions await us here and there... But there are other restrictions that were there before, for example, in international roaming, your telecom operator most likely limits you, offering to use your usual connection at inflated prices, or to buy very expensive Internet or minutes packages... Sometimes you wonder why it is so expensive, because it is still the same Internet? In some cases, you have to buy a local SIM card, deal with local tariffs, because they also have their own nuances.. And if you are planning a trip through several countries, is it worth buying a local SIM card in each country? How to top up your balance if you suddenly run out of money? And what to do with all this later, because the paid packages and balance will most likely burn out before the next trip..

I travel by bike quite a lot and often, so all these questions bothered me taiwan phone number library in one way or another, because in addition to the natural desire to stay in touch with loved ones, when traveling you always want to have access to maps, weather forecasts and local websites in order to be able to navigate and plan a route during the trip. In the current time of restrictions and constantly changing rules, this is especially relevant.

This year I tried a SIM card from an alternative operator MCN Telecom, here's what came out of it...

Having familiarized myself with the tariffs in the intended travel countries in advance, upon arrival in Hungary, I selected the S2 profile and the Telenor operator in the SIM menu. I arrived in Budapest quite early, I wanted to check in right away, leave my heavy things and start walking around the city light. I made sure in advance that my phone had an offline map, with which I plotted a route and got to the place of future overnight stay. However, it turned out that I ran into a closed door and did not immediately understand how to get inside. This is where the Internet came in handy, with the help of which I contacted the hostess and found out all the details ... as it turned out, I really did arrive too early ..

A little later I checked in, left my things inside, and without wasting any time, went for a walk, not worrying about getting lost, because the Internet was in my pocket at a penny cost. Walking around the city allowed me to experience again the long-forgotten feelings of joy from contemplating the sights of a new country.

Having spent several days in Hungary, in addition to the capital, I visited the famous Lake Balaton, the thermal lake Heviz and its surroundings. I got to Balaton by train, the ticket for which I bought via mobile Internet.

Next on my route was Austria, upon arrival where I stayed on the S2 SIM profile, since that was where the most favorable tariff was.

I arrived in Austria quite late, I had to drive about 40 km to the overnight place. By the time I arrived it was already dark, and I again ran into a closed entrance, this time it was a barrier. And again the Internet saved me, I had to make a couple of calls…
