Ways to limit your digital impact
If digital pollution exists, it is possible to act on your scale to improve its impact a little. Some actions may seem trivial but I am convinced that a drop of water + a drop of water + a drop of water hong kong whatsapp can create oceans. As I told you at the beginning of the article, I am starting my reflection on this subject. I know that I have a lot of things to improve myself (like the weight of my site for example). I am opening up some avenues of reflection for you. Do not hesitate to suggest others in the comments so that we can feed off each other.
Increase the lifespan of our devices
Our digital tools are a major source of digital pollution. By keeping your phone for 4 years instead of 2 as is the “norm”, you reduce your ecological impact by 50%! Repair your devices rather than changing them. Buy them reconditioned instead of buying them new. They will not be recycled so you might as well increase their lifespan .

Reduce the weight of your website
Our websites are stored in data centers. Each time a user connects, they use bandwidth and therefore energy. By reducing the weight of our sites, we necessarily reduce the amount of electricity needed to open them . To do this, we must review the overall design of our websites to eco-design them. What information is really vital for my business? How many pages should I create? Do I really need all these visual animations? These are real fundamental questions to ask yourself to create an eco-designed site.
If you want to know the energy performance of your website, you can use Ecoindex which will give you some ideas for improvement. I analyzed my site a few days ago, it's not great. But at least I know the points to improve. There's nothing left to do, as they say.
